Rain observations in tropical storm Cora [PDF]

open access: yes
Passive microwave observations were made in tropical storm Cora at 19.35 and 94GHz. These observations suggest that 94GHz is appropriate for mapping the extent of rain over either land or ocean backgrounds and that some rainfall intensity measurement is ...

Reconfigurable Spoof Plasmonic Skyrmion Electronics for Deformation‐Invariant Multimode Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible multimode sensor based on capacitively loaded spoof plasmonic skyrmions enables deformation‐invariant dielectric sensing with ultra‐compact size and high Q‐factor. Near‐equidistant resonances remain stable under shape change and bending, while capacitor loading improves bending robustness and multimode sensitivity, highlighting strong ...

NORSEX 1979 microwave remote sensing data report [PDF]

open access: yes
Airborne microwave remote sensing measurements obtained by NASA Langley Research Center in support of the 1979 Norwegian Remote Sensing Experiment (NORSEX) are summarized. The objectives of NORSEX were to investigate the capabilities of an active/passive

Breaking time-reversal symmetry with a superconducting flux capacitor

open access: yes, 2018
We present the design of a passive, on-chip microwave circulator based on a ring of superconducting tunnel junctions. We investigate two distinct physical realisations, based on either Josephson junctions (JJ) or quantum phase slip elements (QPS), with ...

Aptamer‐Directed Porous DNA Nanocomposite Hydrogel for Active Pulp Preservation: Immunomodulation, Stem Cell Recruitment and Reparative Dentinogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an injectable DNA‐based porous hydrogel integrating catechol motifs and targeting aptamers for pulpitis management. Upon in situ crosslinking, the scaffold actively recruits endogenous dental pulp stem cells, restores redox homeostasis, and modulates immune responses.

Analysis of interference to remote passive microwave sensors [PDF]

open access: yes
The final acts of the 1979 World Administrative Radio Conference (WARC) were analyzed to determine potential interference to remote passive microwave sensors. Using interferer populations determined from the U.S.

Fluorescence Tuning of Carbon Dots from Red to Blue via UV‐Induced Photochemical Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A UV‐driven photochemical process enables continuous color evolution of carbon dots from red to blue using a single irradiation parameter. Progressive photoetching restructures graphitic domains and surface states, allowing full visible‐spectrum emission control.
