Review of Linear Motor Topologies with Passive Secondaries and a Comparison to an Active Secondary Topology [PDF]

open access: yes2020 Fifteenth International Conference on Ecological Vehicles and Renewable Energies (EVER), 2020
This paper presents a literature overview of different linear motor topologies utilizing a passive secondary that can be considered for long stroke applications. Based on this review the Linear Flux-switching Machine is selected for further investigation: the disadvantages and the possible solutions proposed in literature are discussed.

Topological Magnetoelectric Response in Passive Magnetic Devices

open access: yesPhysical Review Applied, 2023
22+6 pages, 8 figures. Comments are welcome. Substantial changes with respect to the first version: weak disverse effects are now treated, the numerical analysis was extended to the THz domain and the millimeter length scale, discussion has been partiatly modified, the vast majority of figures were ...

The Partitioned Optical Passive Stars (POPS) topology [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 9th International Parallel Processing Symposium, 2002
This paper presents and analyzes a topological approach to providing multiple data channels using current technologies. The Partitioned Optical Passive Stars (POPS) topology is an all-optical interconnection architecture that uses multiple non-hierarchical couplers. POPS topologies provide powerful configurability for optimization of system complexity,

Topological metasurface: from passive toward active and beyond

open access: yesPhotonics Research, 2023
Metasurfaces are subwavelength structured thin films consisting of arrays of units that allow the control of polarization, phase, and amplitude of light over a subwavelength thickness. Recent developments in topological photonics have greatly broadened the horizon in designing metasurfaces for novel functional applications. In this review, we summarize

A novel passive snubber soft-switching inverter

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2018
An improved simple passive snubber inverter is proposed in order to solve the problem of complicated snubber circuit in the traditional soft-switching topology. Only a few passive components are used in the novel topology.

Original Theory of NGD Low Pass-High Pass Composite Function for Designing Inductorless BP NGD Lumped Circuit

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper aims to develop an original circuit theory of inductorless NGD topology. The considered passive cell comprised of resistor and capacitor elements without inductor operates as a bandpass (BP) NGD function.

Bandpass NGD function design for 5G microwave signal delay synchronization application

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Physique, 2021
This paper introduces a design method of simple bandpass (BP) negative group delay (NGD) topology. The fundamental specifications of BP NGD function are defined.

Topological classification table implemented with classical passive metamaterials [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2018
Topological condensed matter systems from class A and class AII of the classification table have received classical electromagnetic and mechanical analogs and protected wave-guiding with such systems has been demonstrated experimentally. Here we introduce a map which generates classical analogs for all entries of the classification table, using only ...

Limitations of Passively Mapping Logical Network Topologies [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computer Network and Information Security, 2017
Understanding logical network connectivity is essential in network topology mapping especially in a fast growing network where knowing what is happening on the network is critical for security purposes and where knowing how network resources are being used is highly important.
