Challenges and Perspectives for an Extended Use of the Dye‐Sensitized Solar Cells

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 20, 28 October 2026.
DSSC is a photoelectrochemical technology that will support the energy transition. DSSCs initiated the building‐integrated photovoltaics sector and are now proposed in agrivoltaics, archaeophotovoltaics and as indoor solution for powering the Internet of Things. The wavelength selectivity for photoconversion renders DSSCs unique in photovoltaics ambit.
