Behavioral Medicine in Hungary: Past, Present, and Future

Behavioral Medicine, 2002
During the socialist period before 1989, training in behavioral medicine and behavioral science was not a priority in Hungary's medical schools despite the nation's long tradition of psychosomatic and behavioral medicine. In this article, the authors review the development of behavioral medicine and behavioral science in Hungarian medical schools and ...

Creep Behavior of a Solder Paste With Bi Addition

Volume 14: Emerging Technologies; Materials: Genetics to Structures; Safety Engineering and Risk Analysis, 2017
A common failure mode of electronic PCB’s is the appearance of cold solder joints between the component and PCB, during product life. This phenomenon is related to solder joint fatigue and is attributed mainly to the mismatch of the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE) of component-solder-PCB assembly.

Behavioral inheritance: Past and present

Conditional Reflex, 1966
This paper briefly reviews some of the work of Pavlov and his school as it bears on the problems of behavioral inheritance, especially in relation to their work on the inheritance of acquired conditioned responses in mice. The timeliness of Pavlov’s excursion into this area is stressed and the reasons for its lack of success explored.

Are Past Normative Behaviors Predictive of Future Behavioral Intentions?

Ethics & Behavior, 2009
We acknowledge the limitations in measures of moral reasoning and pursue an alternative technique by investigating past behaviors as they relate to present behavioral intentions. Our purpose is to evaluate the merits of patterned normative behavior for predicting present and future, morally relevant outcomes.

On shotcrete mechanical behavior past severe heating

2010
Shotcrete has been recently proposed as a structural material for the construction of the final lining in blasted tunnels. To have shotcrete accepted by designers and owners, how-ever, its water permeability should be increased – or guaranteed by appropriate means - and its fire resistance should be checked.

Pregabalin abuse after past substanceseeking behavior

Int. Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2013
Pregabalin is a prescription drug, structurally related to the neurotransmitter GABA. Following the rapidly increasing use of pregabalin, data signaling its abuse liability have been published recently. We report a case of a 19-year-old man with a history of cannabis and alcohol-seeking behavior that showed similar drug-seeking behavior with pregabalin.

Electrochemical behavior of iproplatin at the carbon paste electrode

Electroanalysis, 1989
AbstractThe electrochemical redox behavior of iproplatin (JM9) was investigated at the carbon paste electrode using cyclic voltammetry in the absence and presence of free chloride ions. In the absence of chloride, a diffusion‐controlled, two‐electron reduction peak (Epc1) is observed, giving a platinum(II) derivative that is oxidized to a Pt(IV ...
