Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2001 This paper presents the surface energy balance at five locations on the Pasterze, a glacier in Austria, during a period of 46 days in the summer of 1994. The computations are based on local measurements of radiative fluxes, wind speed, atmospheric temperature and humidity, and precipitation.
