Application of Sentinel-2A data for pasture biomass monitoring using a physically based radiative transfer model

open access: yesRemote Sensing of Environment, 2018
A large proportion of the global land surface is covered by pasture. The advent of the Sentinel satellites program provides free datasets with good spatiotemporal resolution that can be a valuable source of information for monitoring pasture resources ...

Pastures and Pasture Research

Nature, 1948
GRASSLAND is still the chief raw material of stock farming, and therefore a full understanding of its problems is important in the basic industry of animal food supply. Mr. C. M. Donald held for two years the Powlett Scholarship of the University of Sydney, and visited Britain, the United States and New Zealand.

Control of Redheaded Pasture Cockchafer in Pasture, 1983

Insecticide and Acaricide Tests, 1986
Abstract Six insecticides were tested on a well grazed, non-irrigated perennial ryegrass/subterranean clover based pasture against the root-feeding scarab larvae of the redheaded pasture cockchafter at Ellerslie, Victoria, Australia. The soil type at the site is a moderately acidic (pH 5.4 to 5.6) grey-brown clay loam.

Influence of Climate on Pasture Infectivity of Ovine Trichostrongyles in Dry Pastures

Journal of Veterinary Medicine, Series B, 1997
SummaryThe pattern of pasture contamination and the influence of some climatic factors on the development of ovine Trichostrongyles have been studied in dry pastures of Castilla‐La Mancha (central Spain) during a 3‐year period (1986–1988). The main identified genera were Ostertagia and Trichostrongylus, followed by Haemonchus, Cooperia and Nematodirus.
