Determination of Pasture Status of Yoncalı Village Pasture in Bayburt Province [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Bu çalışma, Bayburt ilinin merkez ilçesine bağlı Yoncalı köyü mera alanında 2019 yılı içerisinde yapılmıştır. Çalışma yapılan mera alanının; toprağı kaplama oranı, botanik kompozisyonu, mera kalite derecesi ve mera durumu özellikleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma alanının bitki örtüsü karakterleri “Lup” yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenmiştir.

Improvement of selenium status of pasture crops

Biological Trace Element Research, 1984
Selenium was applied to pasture crops in a field experiment (1) by foliar application of 10 g Se/ha as selenite in the spring, (2) or by 5 g Se/ha in the spring plus 5 g in early August, (3) as selenite-enriched calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) at 4 g Se/ha after each cut, and (4) as 4 g Se after every second cut. The experiment covered 2 yr. The results

Pasture status in a semi-arid grassland

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 1993
Abstract Landsat-MSS data were used to estimate pasture biomass, cover and greenness of semi-arid grassland in central western New South Wales, Australia. The green pasture dominated the reflectance and while green cover, green biomass and percentage green were estimated to acceptable levels (±9-7 per cent, ± 0-35t ha-1 and ±M11 6 per cent respectively)

Pasture production and changes in phosphorus and sulphur status in irrigated pastures receiving long‐term applications of superphosphate fertiliser

New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, 1989
Abstract A grazing experiment on aLismore stony silt loam in mid Canterbury spanning a 34‐year period has demonstrated the importance of both phosphorus (P) and sulphur (S) fertilisers for the development and maintenance of irrigated ryegrassclover pastures, especially during spring and summer growth periods.

Development of an algorithm for relating pasture nitrogen status to yield response curves

open access: yesGrass and Forage Science, 2017
Determination of optimum nitrogen (N) fertilisation rates which maximise pasture growth is challenging due to variability in plant requirements and likely near future supply by the soil in both time and space. Remote sensing can be used for mapping the

Forest conversion to pasture affects soil phosphorus dynamics and nutritional status in Brazilian Amazon

open access: yesSoil and Tillage Research, 2019
Understanding the pathways of soil phosphorus (P) transformations and determining the factors related to P nutritional status of soils when land use changes is critical for a better management, especially in Amazon region.

The effect of injectable barium selenate on the selenium status of horses on pasture

New Zealand Veterinary Journal, 1998
To examine the effect of intramuscular barium selenate on the blood selenium concentration of horses with marginal selenium status.Eighteen mares were assigned to one of six groups. The mares in groups 1-4 received barium selenate at 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 and 1.5 mg Se/kg, respectively, injected into the right pectoral muscle mass.

Inflammatory and redox status of ponies with a history of pasture-associated laminitis

Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology, 2009
Inflammatory and redox signals could render lamellar tissue susceptible to damage and contribute to higher risk for laminitis in obese or insulin resistant ponies just as these factors contribute to health risks in humans with metabolic syndrome. This study evaluated circulating markers of inflammatory and redox status in ponies that had a history of ...

Assessment of the phosphorus and sulphur status of subterranean clover pastures. 1. Environmental factors and pasture responses

Australian Journal of Experimental Agriculture, 1969
A series of 21 standardized field experiments was set out on established subterranean clover (Trifolium subterranem) pastures in south-eastern New South Wales in the autumn of 1963. Pasture growth at eleven of the 21 sites responded to phosphorus addition ; eight responded to sulphur addition. A dual deficiency existed at five sites.
