Effect of selenium applied to pasture on the selenium status of grazing sheep

open access: yesProceedings of the New Zealand Grassland Association, 1999
Blood selenium concentrations and liveweight gains were assessed for sheep grazing pastures treated with different selenium supplements over a 2-year period. Three 0.5 hectare irrigated blocks with pasture selenium concentrations of less than 0.04 μg/g DM were identified near Lincoln, Canterbury during 1997.

Pasture Condition Scoring

open access: yes, 2023
A pasture condition score sheet has been developed for use in the United States. It has rating criteria for key indicators that are used to ascertain if some areas of pasture management could be improved.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Clinical Impact of NOTCH3 Variant Location After First Stroke in CADASIL

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Despite its monogenic origin, Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy exhibits marked variability in clinical expression and severity. Variants in the NOTCH3 gene, within epidermal growth factor‐like repeat domains 1–6 or 7–34, are known to influence disease onset, but their impact ...

Species Diversity and Botanical Composition of Permanent Grassland as a Response to Different Grazing Management Practices

open access: yesActa Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis, 2015
The effects of different levels of grazing utilization (two, three and four grazing cycles per year) and mineral fertilization (nil-fertilization; N100P30K60) on the botanical composition of permanent grasslands were studied in the locality of Rapotín ...

Fertility status of agriculture, forest and pasture lands of district Mansehra

open access: yesPure and Applied Biology, 2021

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...

Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial
