Anatolian Studies, 2010AbstractThe ongoing excavations initiated in 2003 on the Tepecik acropolis at Patara have brought to light many noteworthy results concerning the somewhat obscure history and archaeology of Archaic Patara. The very rich pottery finds confirming the Archaic dating of the building complex are particularly important.

AdalyaAlthough a universal feature of the Greek polis and, despite ample epigraphic evidence, the gymnasia of the Hellenistic and Roman East, especially in Lycia, are understudied. In this paper we present our initial findings relating to the gymnasion of Patara.

2021VI1 SUMMARY The people and land of Lukka which were mentioned in the Hittite texts are the people and the land of Lycia without any doubt. The people called Luku in Tell el Amama texts, from the period of Egytion Pharaoh, Ramses 2 in the 13th century B.C. ougth to be Lycians.
