SRR and patch antenna

2008 International Conference on Recent Advances in Microwave Theory and Applications, 2008
This paper presents various observations, from electromagnetic simulations and experimental results of a split ring resonator embedded patch antenna. Simulations have been done by inserting more number of SRRs in the patch antenna. There is an increase in gain, antenna efficiency, shift in resonant frequency and dual frequency of operation for the ...

Wideband patch dipole antenna

2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005
A novel wideband patch dipole antenna is proposed and simulated by Ansoft HFSS. Calculated results show that the relative bandwidth can reach 66.7% with VSWR less than 2. A model antenna is fabricated with microstrip structure. Good agreement is achieved between experimental and simulated results.

Microstrip patch antenna design

2021
This chapter describes patch design cases for different applications. The use of microstrip patch antennas in wireless communication systems provides several advantages like low profile, low cost, and ease of fabrication. Moreover, microstrip patch antennas can provide a possible solution for fifth generation (5G) antenna design.

Chebyshev Multiband Patch Antenna

2012
This paper presents design procedure of a chebyshev multiband microstrip patch antenna. The multibands are achieved by the chebyshevs, introduced on the adjacent and opposite corners of rectangular patch. The bandwidth and frequency shifts are controlled by increasing the distance among the chebyshev from right side and the position of feed is also ...

Conformal patch antennas

1998
When constructing antennas it is popular to use printed metal patterns on multilayer substrates to obtain thin profile, conformability to smooth structures, and low manufacture cost. If the structure is planar or if the curvature of the structure is small, we can analyze the problem by considering a planar structure of infinite extent.

The Cylindrical Omnidirectional Patch Antenna

IEEE transactions on antennas and propagation, 1997
In recent years, the need for omnidirectional (in the azimuthal plane) antennas with narrow beams in the elevation plane, for wireless applications increased considerably. The antennas are used in amny frequency bands anywhere from 0.8 to 6 GHz. In a variety of configurations. The different collinear-array configurations are designed using back-to-back

Stacked Rectangular Patch Antenna

Alta frequenza. Rivista di elettronica, 1996
A procedure of adding a parasitic patch element over a driven rectangular patch in order to achieve an increased bandwidth of microstrip antennas as has been considered. Comprehensive measurements were carried out and enabled one to determine the influnce of a separation distance between the parasitic and the driven patch on the input impedance locus ...

PATCH ANTENNA DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY

Microstrip patch antennas are used in a variety of wireless applications, such as smartphones, radars, GPS systems, and IoT devices. Due to their advantages, such as portability, affordable cost, and ease of prototyping, this antenna was developed to be applied to Wi-Fi routers, helping and facilitating the increase in signal range.
