SRR and patch antenna

2008 International Conference on Recent Advances in Microwave Theory and Applications, 2008
This paper presents various observations, from electromagnetic simulations and experimental results of a split ring resonator embedded patch antenna. Simulations have been done by inserting more number of SRRs in the patch antenna. There is an increase in gain, antenna efficiency, shift in resonant frequency and dual frequency of operation for the ...

Micromachined patch antennas

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1998
This paper presents the use of selective lateral etching based on micromachining techniques to enhance the performance of rectangular microstrip patch antennas printed on high-index wafers such as silicon, GaAs, and InP. Micromachined patch antennas on Si substrates have shown superior performance over conventional designs where the bandwidth and the ...

Meshed Patch Antennas

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2004
Conventional microstrip patch antennas are printed with continuous solid copper shapes and ground planes. The general properties of meshed patches are presented in this paper where both the patch itself and the ground plane are meshed. The gain, cross-polarization, bandwidth and radiation patterns are discussed for different combinations of patch and ...

Increasing the bandwidth of patch antennas

2012 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband, 2012
A wideband (23.3%) microstrip patch antenna is designed and simulated. Radiating elements are symmetric and non-symmetrically distributed slits around the outer sections of the patch antenna. Design steps and the various trials on the geometry of the patch are explained in detail and presented in figures. Excitation is a single probe feed.

Kanji Patch Antennas

2018 IEEE International Workshop on Electromagnetics:Applications and Student Innovation Competition (iWEM), 2018
This article introduces the basic concepts of Kanji patch antennas. We use two novel L-probe-fed Guo-and Meng-shaped patches operating in circular polarization as examples. The main parameters of these symmetrical and asymmetrical shaped patch antennas were studied and optimized via computer-aided simulation.

Microstrip Patch Antenna

2020
This chapter elaborates in detail on the microstrip patch antenna, which is widely utilized in the receivers of radio telescopes, as well as in the wireless communication industry today. Several models have been developed to analyze and design the patch antennas.

Microstrip Patch Antenna

2016
The demand for smaller, conformable antennas with desired properties has made antenna Engineers to device better ways of making antennas. The patch antenna comes to the rescue, as it provides the features needed in antennas used in the telecoms, meteorological and military industries, where light weight low profile antennas are required. The Microstrip

A Novel Reconfigurable Patch Antenna with Parasitic Patch

2019 6th International Conference on Signal Processing and Integrated Networks (SPIN), 2019
In this paper, a novel frequency reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna with three parasitic patches has been proposed. This switchable band characteristics is achieved by introducing three PIN DIODES between the main patch and three parasitic patches.

Design of Miniaturized Broadband Patch Antenna

Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Computing and Wireless Communication Systems, 2017
In this study, we present a novel type of compact and broadband patch antenna configuration. The size reduction is obtaining without changing frequency thanks to etched six slots in antenna ground plane. Indeed, the electromagnetic volume of the antenna remains unchanged even the area of the ground plane is decreasing.

Ladder Shape Microstrip Patch Antenna

2018 International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS), 2018
In this paper, a ladder shaped microstrip patch antenna with an average size, suitable for most mobile phones, is proposed. The proposed antenna has a size of 120*50 mm2 for a ladder patch with coaxial cable feeding. It covers a bandwidth of approximately 30 MHz from 685 MHz to 715 MHz that is in the UHF band.
