Analysis of Circular Polarization of Cylindrically Bent Microstrip Antennas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2012
When circularly polarized (CP) microstrip antennas are bent, the polarization becomes elliptical. We present a simple model that describes the phenomenon. The two linear modes present in a CP patch are modeled separately and added together to produce CP.

Analysis of an air-spaced patch antenna near 1800 MHz [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Microstrip antennas are a type of printed antenna which consists of a patch on top of a grounded substrate. A major limitation for the performance of the patch antenna is the dielectric substrate.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Miniatured annular ring loaded patch antennas

open access: yes2007 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2007
The proliferation of wireless communication systems has promoted the development of miniaturized antenna designs. Annular ring patch antennas are reported to reduce antenna size. In this paper, several novel compact probe-fed annular-ring microstrip patch antennas are presented. In order to reduce the antenna size and provide a suitable input impedance

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Asymptotic extraction approach for antennas in a multilayered spherical media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
An efficient algorithm is introduced to enhance the convergence of dyadic Green's functions (DGF) in a layered spherical media where asymptotic expressions have been developed. The formulated expressions involve an infinite series of spherical eigenmodes

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
