PATCHED and p53 gene alterations in sporadic and hereditary basal cell cancer

open access: yesOncogene, 2001
It is widely accepted that disruption of the hedgehog-patched pathway is a key event in development of basal cell cancer. In addition to patched gene alterations, p53 gene mutations are also frequent in basal cell cancer.

Targeting the multidrug transporter Patched potentiates chemotherapy efficiency on adrenocortical carcinoma in vitro and in vivo

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, 2018
One of the crucial challenges in the clinical management of cancer is the resistance to chemotherapeutics. We recently demonstrated that the Hedgehog receptor Patched, which is overexpressed in many recurrent and metastatic cancers, is a multidrug ...

3D static analysis of patched composite laminates using a multidomain differential quadrature method

open access: yesComposite Structures, 2019
Fibre Patch Placement (FPP) technology offers the opportunity to overcome the limitations of continuous fibre tape technologies by producing patched composite laminates with variable-stiffness properties that can achieve a load path optimized structural ...

New HMAC Message Patches: Secret Patch and CrOw Patch

2015
At Asiacrypt 2012, Peyrin eti?źal. showed generic attacks against the HMAC design. They utilized a pair of related keys where only the relation between the keys is known to the attacker but not the keys themselves the secret key model. On similar lines, at Crypto 2012, Dodis eti?źal.

On the theory of patching

Third IEEE International Conference on Software Engineering and Formal Methods (SEFM'05), 2005
We study the problem of patching, i.e., modifying the behavior of an existing system. We consider systems modelled as finite state machines (FSMs), and define edit operators for them based on a traditional fault model. We argue that sequences of edit operations can be considered as models of patches defining modifications to an FSM system.

PATCHING DUALITIES

Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, 2002
Let R anf T be rings, and let U be a faithful R-T-bimodule. We show that the triple (R, U, T) has a Morita duality if and only if RR and TT are linearly compact, and there is a duality between the semisimple factors R/J(R) and T/J(T) induced by the socle of U. The main tool to prove this result is proving that lattice anti-isomorphisms can be patched

Patch Dynamics and Bare Patch

1996
Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn [Thanatephorus cucumeris (Frank) Donk] causes a number of patch diseases. These include Rhizoctonia bare patch of cereals and other crops (R. solani AG 8), crater disease of cereals (Deacon and Scott, 1985; Smith and Wehner, 1986, 1988; Opperman and Barnard 1992; AG unknown), patch of tulips (AG 2-1-tulip; see Chapter V.4) and ...

The Patch Test

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1967
Patch testing consists of the application of substances to the skin for the purpose of detecting specific hypersensitivity. It serves as an admirable diagnostic tool in the clinical study of patients who have inflammatory dermatitic reactions of an allergic nature.
