Two cases of combined patellar tendon avulsion from the tibia and patella
Avulsion fractures of the inferior pole of the patella and proximal tibial apophysis are independently rare injuries. They occur in children due to the relative weakness of the apophyseal cartilage compared to the ligaments and tendons.

ABSTRACT Remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM) is required for the proper healing, strengthening, and maintenance of tendon tissue. There are well‐documented sex differences in tendon injury rates and healing outcomes, often attributed to either innate differences in tissue structure and resident cell signaling or the influence of sex hormones ...

In Vitro Evaluation of Hemiarthroplasty Bearing Materials: A Scoping Review (Part I)
ABSTRACT Hemiarthroplasty is used to treat joint damage confined to one side, aiming to preserve the remaining healthy cartilage and bone while addressing conditions like femur fractures and osteonecrosis; however, challenges persist due to cartilage wear and inconsistent clinical outcomes.

Medial patellar desmotomy in cattle and horses in the field: surgical and clinical-pathological aspects - case report [PDF]
Dorsal fixation of patella (FDP) is one of the main causes of lameness in cattle and horses, resulting in locomotor instability. The present study describes surgical and clinical-pathological aspects of medial patellar desmotomy performed in the field in

ABSTRACT The collagenous matrix of tendon provides mechanical integrity, allowing the tissue to withstand large tensile forces. While collagen I‐containing fibrils provide the major backbone of the tendon matrix, interactions with other collagen types are critical for matrix formation and maintenance.

Osteonecrosis of bipartite patella following total knee arthroplasty without lateral release
We present a case of osteonecrosis of bipartite patella occurring after total knee arthroplasty using medial parapatellar approach without lateral retinacular release in osteoarthritic knee of a 66 year-old-male.

An insight on the Proof of Orientifold Planar Equivalence on the Lattice
In a recent paper, Armoni, Shifman and Veneziano (ASV) gave a formal non-perturbative proof of planar equivalence between the bosonic sectors of SU(N) super Yang-Mills theory and of a gauge theory with a massless quark in the antisymmetric two-indexes ...

Patient‐Specific 3D‐Printed Drill Guides for an Ovine Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation Model
ABSTRACT Proper alignment between donor and recipient cartilage in osteochondral allograft transplantation supports tissue integration and the formation of a stable articulating surface. This study evaluated the use of patient‐specific 3D‐printed drill guides to improve alignment in an ovine model of osteochondral allograft transplantation when used in
