Loss of Brd4 alleviates pathological bone loss via Slc9b2 suppression in osteoclastogenesis

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Brd4 regulates bone metabolism through Slc9b2 suppression: a targeted therapeutic approach for osteoporosis. Elevated Brd4 expression is strongly correlated with osteoporosis, primarily by promoting osteoclastogenesis. Mechanistically, Brd4 is crucial role in regulating glycolysis, a prerequisite for osteoclastogenesis (left).

Simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty with and without patellar resurfacing using a zirconium ceramic femoral component demonstrated equivalent short‐term outcomes: A prospective randomised clinical trial

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 12, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract Purpose The optimal management of the patella during total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has not been updated with the development of prosthesis. The purpose of this prospective randomised clinical trial was to compare the physical findings and patient‐reported outcome measures between knees with patellar resurfacing and those without patellar ...

No difference in revision rate in patella‐friendly total knee arthroplasty with or without patella resurfacing at 5 years' follow‐up. A database analysis

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 12, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract Purpose Numerous studies have been published on the optimal management of the patella during total knee arthroplasty (TKA), but controversy remains. The aim of this study was to compare survivorship and functional outcomes with or without patella resurfacing, using a single TKA implant.

Delayed migration of K-wire into popliteal fossa used for tension band wiring of patellar fracture

open access: yesChinese Journal of Traumatology, 2013
【Abstract】Breakage of K-wires and stainless steel wires which are used for fracture fixation is not uncommon, but migration is rare. We report a case of migration of bro-ken K-wire used for patella tension band wiring to the popliteal fossa.

The promising potential of intra‐articular losartan combined with scaffold implantation for osteochondral repair: a comparative study in a rabbit model against osteochondral autograft transplantation

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 12, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to compare the radiological, macroscopic, biomechanical and histological outcomes of osteochondral autograft transplantation (OAT) and a combination of intralesional scaffold with intra‐articular losartan injection in a rabbit model of osteochondral injury.

A flat posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction restores native knee kinematics, comparable to a double‐bundle reconstruction—A biomechanical robotic investigation

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 10, Page 3489-3498, October 2025.
Abstract Purpose To biomechanically evaluate a flat posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction utilizing rectangular femoral bone tunnels. Methods Eight fresh‐frozen human knee specimens were tested in a six‐degrees‐of‐freedom robotic test setup. In each testing step, a force‐controlled test protocol was performed, including 89 N posterior tibial
