A Bayesian Structural Causal Modeling Framework for Analyzing Childhood Stunting Factors

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika)
This quantitative study investigates the causal determinants of childhood stunting using a structured questionnaire as the primary research instrument. The analysis applies Bayesian path modeling to examine how Economic Level influences Child Nutritional

Identification and characterization of a gene conferring stress resistance in Escherichia coli and cyanobacteria

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Functional screening identified PcSyn14890, a cyanobacteria‐specific protein that enhances growth and stress resistance in E. coli and Synechocystis PCC6803. Although we expected it to function as a molecular chaperone, it was unable to protect against thermal aggregation of GAPDH.

Using fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy to quantify molecular dynamics within cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Microscopy techniques like fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) and number and brightness analysis (N&B) allow to quantify concentrations, diffusion rates, and oligomerization of fluorescently labeled molecules in the living cell. In this protocol the principles of how to set up these types of experiments are described including calibration ...

A nationwide student survey on biochemistry learning resources in Italy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We conducted a survey among Italian university students to investigate their preferred study materials for biochemistry. We then analyzed the collected data to identify these materials. This information may be valuable to the Biochemistry educational community. The graphical abstract was created with Claude (Opus 5.5; Anthropic, 2026).

Transfer Path Analysis and Contribution Evaluation Using SVD- and PCA-Based Operational Transfer Path Analysis

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
To quantitatively identify the transfer paths and evaluate path contributions of shell structures, an singular value decomposition- (SVD-) and principal component analysis- (PCA-) based operational transfer path analysis method is constructed and studied

Global Rather Than Vertical‐Selective Saccadic Abnormalities in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To test whether vertical saccades are preferentially affected in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Methods PSP patients (n = 24) were compared to age‐matched controls (n = 94) and two degenerative groups (Alzheimer's disease, n = 20; Lewy body disease, n = 50).

Intracerebral Hemorrhage Induces Monocyte TNF Signaling in Patients That Is Suppressed by BAF312

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) causes high morbidity and mortality, with neurotoxic inflammation driven by infiltrating monocytes. This study is an in‐depth longitudinal examination of the immune response during the first week of ICH in the presence and absence of the immunomodulatory drug BAF312 (Siponimod).
