PATHS TAKEN FOR MATHEMATICAL ARGUMENTATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND USE OF MATHEMATICAL POEMS
Journal of Interdisciplinary Debates, 2023Literary writing is the democratic form of inclusion and development of student aptitude, in which everyone can participate, it is a challenging and stimulating pedagogical activity, in addition to enhancing the development of skills and competencies for meaningful and reflective learning with Mathematics . The school is a space for this “habit-forming

Argumentation for Learning: Well-Trodden Paths and Unexplored Territories
Educational Psychologist, 2016There is increasing consensus among psycho-educational scholars about argumentation as a means to improve student knowledge and understanding of subject matter. In this article, we argue that, notwithstanding a strong theoretical rationale, causal evidence is not abundant, definitions of the objects of study (argumentation, learning) are often not well

Progressive Defeat Paths in Abstract Argumentation Frameworks
2006Abstract argumentation systems are formalisms for defeasible reasoning where some components remain unspecified, the structure of arguments being the main abstraction. In the dialectical process carried out to identify accepted arguments in the system some controversial situations may appear.

Inequalities for the arguments lying on linear and curved path
2020Summary: The mathematical proof for establishing some new inequalities involving arithmetic, geometric, harmonic means for the arguments lying on the paths of triangular wave function (linear) and new parabolic function (curved) over the interval \((0, 1)\) are discussed.

Deprofiled Arguments in Coextension Path Fictive Motion
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2011Fictive Motion (FM) constructions where static entities are construed as dynamic have been studied from multiple perspectives; most notably on processing times and cognitive simulation (Matlock: 2004). The present study takes a different approach and explores FM as a discourse mechanism that moderates information flow in geography writing.

The relevance framework for category-based induction: Evidence from garden-path arguments.
Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 2010Relevance theory (Sperber & Wilson, 1995) suggests that people expend cognitive effort when processing information in proportion to the cognitive effects to be gained from doing so. This theory has been used to explain how people apply their knowledge appropriately when evaluating category-based inductive arguments (Medin, Coley, Storms, & Hayes, 2003).

Advertising and National Consumption: A Path Analytic Re-Examination of the Galbraithian Argument
Journal of Advertising, 1983Abstract A relatively new analytic technique, PATHEVAL, is used to re-examine an old issue, the relationship between advertising and national consumption. Using cross-national annual data collected on 53 nations, the authors find little evidence for Galbraith's view of advertising as a most persuasive force in altering people's spending and savings ...

An Analysis of the “Path of Least Resistance” Argument in Three Environmental Justice Success Cases
Society & Natural Resources, 2009Research suggests that environmental hazards tend to be disproportionately sited in poor and minority neighborhoods. Recent findings indicate that the greatest environmental inequalities may have been related to the 1970s “not in my backyard” movement and the “path of least resistance.” The purpose of this research is to expand upon the “path of least ...
