An application of the Gyrfs path argument

2019
We adapt the Gy rf s path argument to prove that $t-2$ cops can capture a robber, in at most $t-1$ moves, in the game of cops and robbers played in a graph that does not contain the $t$-vertex path as an induced subgraph.

A Path Still Taken: Some Early Indian Arguments concerning Time

Journal of the American Oriental Society, 1991
1. SCHOLARS IN EARLY INDIA GIVE us considerable evidence about arguments concerning time.' These arguments range from the very general to the particular, and the principal issues dealt with are as follows. In general, what requires one to operate with time (kala) as a separate ontological category?

A Simple Path Integral Argument of the One-Dimensional Quantum Electron Localization and the 3D Bell Path Integral Representation

Modern Physics Letters B, 1998
We give a simple path integral argument of the electron localization phenomena in the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation at a WKB limit of large electron mass. Additionally, we present a many body. Bell path integral representation for the three-dimensional case.

THE SUPPRESSION OF QUANTUM PHENOMENA BY AN EXTERNAL STRONG WHITE-NOISE MAGNETIC FIELD: A PATH INTEGRAL ARGUMENT

Modern Physics Letters B, 2003
We give a path-integral argument to obtain the classical regime of a quantum system by means of an external magnetic random field.

Karl Marx and Wilt Chamberlain, or: Luck Egalitarianism, Exploitation, and the Clean Path to Capitalism Argument

Res Publica, 2016
This paper focuses on the claim that luck egalitarianism is incompatible with Marxian theory because it allows for the possibility of a ‘clean path’ to capitalism. It explores the nature and structure of the clean path argument generally and critically discusses luck egalitarian versions of the argument.
