The Technique of Path Coefficients

Psychometrika, 1936
A derivation of equations fundamental to the technique of path coefficients is given. Suggestions are made with respect to the calculations required in the use of the technique. The relations of the technique to those of partial correlation, semi-partial correlation, part correlation, multiple correlation, and factor analysis are discussed.

Partial Correlation in Terms of Path Coefficients

The American Statistician, 1975
where r12.34, etc. may, in turn, be expressed in terms of r12.3, etc., until simple correlations (of zero order) are reached. Moreover, the expression for r12.345 is not unique, as any two of the subscripts after the dot may be chosen to remain after the dot in the correlations of the lower order.

The Method of Path Coefficients

2017
The classical simple linear regression model involves one independent variable and one dependent (outcome) variable. Sewall Wright developed the method of path coefficients as a comprehensive approach to study the direct and indirect relationships between multiple independent variables and a dependent variable.

CORRELATIONS AND PATH COEFFICIENT ANALYSIS IN FENUGREEK

Madras Agricultural Journal, 1996
Fifty diverge genotypes of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum L.) revealed highly significant differences for morphological characters. Phenotypic and genotypic correlation showed similar trend but genotypic correlations were of higher magnitude than phenotypic.

On path coefficients in fully recursive systems

The Journal of Mathematical Sociology, 1976
This paper explores certain relationships among path coefficients for fully recursive systems. A new decomposition of the correlation coefficient between consecutive variables is obtained.

A Comparision study of path coefficients, partial regression coefficients and correlation coefficients

2020
