Pathergy in atypical eosinophilic pustular folliculitis
International Journal of Dermatology, 2004A 15‐year‐old, unmarried female presented to our dermatology department for an intensely pruritic skin rash that had appeared abruptly 3 days earlier. She had a remarkable medical history for a case of allergic rhinitis and several attacks of asthma in her early childhood.

Evaluation of Pathergy Test in North Jordan
Clinical Rheumatology, 2000The positivity of pathergy's test in Behçet disease varies throughout the world. We tried to evaluate its diagnostic significance in known Behçet patients in the region of North Jordan. Twenty-two patients were tested, readings were taken after 48 hours.

Immunohistology of skin pathergy reaction in Behçet's disease
British Journal of Dermatology, 2010The immunophenotypic characteristics of the skin pathergy reaction (SPR) at 48 h in Behçet's disease (BD) were investigated in 12 patients with BD and in five controls. The findings in 11 positive and one negative SPR lesions of patients with BD were evaluated in comparison with those of normal adjacent skin and with the negative pathergy biopsies from

Pathergy Reaction in Sweet's Disease.

The skin pathergy test: innately useful?
Archives of Dermatological Research, 2009Pathergy is the term used to describe hyper-reactivity of the skin that occurs in response to minimal trauma. A positive skin pathergy test (SPT), characterised by erythematous induration at the site of the needle stick with a small pustule containing sterile pus at its centre, is among the criteria required for a diagnosis of Behçet's disease (BD) and

Skin hyperreactivity. response (pathergy) in Behçet's disease
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1989Behçet's disease is very difficult to diagnose because its clinical signs overlap with those of other systemic diseases. Thus there is a clear need for nonclinical diagnostic criteria for Behçet's disease. The nonspecific cutaneous hyperreactivity response, pathergy, may serve as an important diagnostic indicator.

COLD ALLERGY AND COLD PATHERGY
Archives of Dermatology, 1941In cases of hypersensitiveness to cold the condition is not invariably allergic, i. e., based on an antigen-antibody reaction. Since Duke 1 first called attention to physical agents as the cause of such conditions as urticaria in certain cases, extensive literature on the pathogenesis of hypersensitiveness to cold has appeared. Some authors —including

Pathergy reaction in different body areas in Behçet's disease.
Clinical and experimental dermatology, 2007Behçet's disease (BD) is a chronic inflammatory multisystemic disorder characterized mainly by vasculitis. Although the pathergy reaction (PR) has been accepted as one of the major criteria in this disease, there is a lack of a standardized method to measure PR.
