Butyrylcholinesterase activity in schizophrenic patients

Annales de biologie clinique, 2011
Butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) is an enzyme that has been investigated for its putative role in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders. The aim of our work was to study BChE activity variations in schizophrenic patients and to investigate the involvement of this enzyme in schizophrenia and the importance of determining its activity in this ...

Active stents in diabetic patients

Diabetes & Metabolism, 2005
In the treatment of coronary stenosis, evolution after PTCA is not as good in diabetic patients compared to non diabetic ones, whatever the treatment used. We now have data of large clinical studies which show good results of drug loaded stents in diabetic patients, especially with either a cytostatic drug (sirolimus) or a cytotoxic one (paclitaxol ...

FIBRINOLYTIC ACTIVITY IN HEMIPLEGIC PATIENTS

Acta Medica Scandinavica, 1971
Abstract. The fibrinolytic activity after venous occlusion of the arms and the legs for 20 min has been studied in 19 patients with hemiplegia. The patients were divided into three groups according to degree of mobilization. In normals the fibrinolytic activity induced by venous occlusion is markedly higher (4 to 6 times) in the arms than in the legs.

Resolving Inflammation in Active Patients

Bilateral electrodermal activity depressive patients

Biological Psychology, 1978
Integrated bilateral skin conductance response and reactive lateral eye movements were studied in 19 depressive patients and 14 normal subjects during visual and verbal tasks and tone habituation sequence.
