STAT4‐dependent regulation of neuroinflammation in atherosclerosis

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, April 2026.
Abstract Atherosclerosis is linked to an increased risk of cognitive decline, with chronic inflammation being a common feature of both pathologies. IL‐12 activates STAT4 to regulate myeloid cell functions, and blockade of this pathway alleviates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's models.

Effects of Forecasted Rainfall on Direct and Recursive LSTM‐Based River Water Level Predictions

open access: yesJournal of Flood Risk Management, Volume 18, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT With climate change, the accurate prediction of river water levels has become increasingly critical, particularly in confluence areas where multiple tributaries merge, resulting in complex hydrodynamic interactions. This study evaluates direct prediction (DP) and recursive prediction (RP) using a virtual sensor approach, with a focus on the ...

Synergistic enhancement of magneto‐optical response in cobalt‐based metasurfaces via plasmonic, lattice, and cavity modes

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 27, Page 5511-5525, December 2025.
Abstract Static metasurfaces offer precise control over light but lack reconfigurability, limiting their use in dynamic applications. Introducing tunability via external stimuli, such as magnetic fields, enables active control of their optical response, broadening their functionality.

Unique Genetic and Epigenetic Alterations in Glioblastoma Long‐Term Survivors: Insights From Two Clinical Cases

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 29, Issue 20, October 2025.
ABSTRACT The biological mechanisms driving the long survival in glioblastoma (GBM). Five‐year long‐term survival (LTS) and 10‐year survival very long‐term survival (VLTS) remain significantly understudied. Here we molecularly detailed two cases. AR10‐046 (VLTS) was affected by a giant cell‐GBM, classified as the pedHGG_RTK1a subtype according to the ...
