Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

A 3D Printed High-Gain Pattern-Diversity Antenna Using Cylindrical Dielectric Resonators With Higher-Order Modes

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) that achieves pattern diversity and high-gain beam coverage through the excitation of higher-order modes. The design employs two concentric ceramic cylindrical resonators with different

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Pattern-Diversity Four-Element MIMO Antenna with Enhanced Isolation for Millimeter-Wave 5G Applications

open access: yesЖурнал нано- та електронної фізики
In this work, we present a compact four-port MIMO antenna designed for millimeter-wave 5G systems. The antenna operates across the 34.8 to 48.6 GHz frequency range, providing an impedance bandwidth of roughly 28.36 %.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Polarization and Radiation Pattern Reconfigurability of a Planar Monopole-Fed Loop Antenna for GPS Application [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2016
This paper presents a reconfigurable loop antenna with monopole-fed using embedded RF PIN switches based shorted parasitic elements for GPS applications. The antenna can independently reconfiguring multiple polarizations with switchable radiation pattern.
