Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Displacement interpolations from a Hamiltonian point of view [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
One of the most well-known results in the theory of optimal transportation is the equivalence between the convexity of the entropy functional with respect to the Riemannian Wasserstein metric and the Ricci curvature lower bound of the underlying ...

Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

Gelar Maria Bunda Gereja Observasi Historis Dan Teologis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The second Vatican Council was not in favor of giving Mother Mary the title “Mother of the Church”, because of its absence in the New Testament and its scarcely using in Church Fathers. And of course this new title could hurt the separated brothers.

Generalized Ricci Curvature Bounds for Three Dimensional Contact Subriemannian manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Measure contraction property is one of the possible generalizations of Ricci curvature bound to more general metric measure spaces. In this paper, we discover sufficient conditions for a three dimensional contact subriemannian manifold to satisfy this ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...
