Nonlinear Optical Response in Layer‐Stacked Gallenene with Ferroelectric Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 44, November 6, 2025.
Liquid metals are utilized in applications ranging from soft robotics to conductive inks, owing to their physical properties providing distinct mechanical, electrical, and thermal advantages. This work uses classical material science techniques to characterize ferroelectric polarization in supercooled liquid gallium and utilizes second harmonic ...

The [3,3]‐Sigmatropic Allyl Cyanate–Isocyanate Rearrangement on Levoglucosenone Derivatives Stereoselectively Provides 4‐Deoxy‐4‐Aminosugars

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 5, Issue 11, November 2025.
The Ichikawa rearrangement of allyl cyanates obtained in situ from levoglucosenone‐derived allyl carbamates allows the synthesis of unique 4‐deoxy‐4‐amino‐d‐allose derivatives with complete chirality transfer in a metal‐free three‐step, one‐pot manner.

PaVa: A novel path-based valley-seeking clustering algorithm

open access: yesInformation Sciences
Clustering methods are being applied to a wider range of scenarios involving more complex datasets, where the shapes of clusters tend to be arbitrary. In this paper, we propose a novel Path-based Valley-seeking clustering algorithm for arbitrarily shaped clusters. This work aims to seek the valleys among clusters and then individually extract clusters.

Biochar‐based fertilizers increase crop yields in acidic tropical soils

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 1124-1142, July/August 2025.
Abstract Depletion of soil organic carbon and nutrients creates mounting challenges for agricultural production in tropical regions, putting livelihoods and food security at risk. Biochar‐based fertilizer (BBF) has been suggested as a tool to maintain yields while concurrently improving soil organic carbon content and related soil functions. This study
