Implementing textural features on GPUs for improved real-time pavement distress detection [PDF]
The condition of municipal roads has deteriorated considerably in recent years, leading to large scale pavement distress such as cracks or potholes. In order to enable road maintenance, pavement distress should be timely detected.

This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Convolutional Neural Network-Based Pavement Crack Segmentation Using Pyramid Attention Network
Cracks are the most common road pavement damage. Due to the propagation of cracks, the detection of early cracks has great practical significance. Traditional manual crack detection is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive. Researchers have turned

Contributions to predicting contaminant leaching from secondary materials used in roads [PDF]
Slags, coal ashes, and other secondary materials can be used in road construction. Both traditional and secondary materials used in roads may contain contaminants that may leach and pollute the groundwater.

Autonomous Robotic System using Non-Destructive Evaluation methods for Bridge Deck Inspection
Bridge condition assessment is important to maintain the quality of highway roads for public transport. Bridge deterioration with time is inevitable due to aging material, environmental wear and in some cases, inadequate maintenance.

Fast Segmentation of Industrial Quality Pavement Images using Laws Texture Energy Measures and k-Means Clustering [PDF]
Thousands of pavement images are collected by road authorities daily for condition monitoring surveys. These images typically have intensity variations and texture non-uniformities making their segmentation challenging. The automated segmentation of such
