EVALUATION PAVEMENT DISTRESSES USING PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX [PDF]
Pavement deterioration is resulted by both environmental and structural causes. It is difficult to maintain the road on the same specification that was owned at the opening and problems start to appear represented in the pavement cracks, holes and ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Top-down cracking in Italian motorway pavements: A case study
Top-down cracking (TDC) is a distress affecting asphalt pavements and consists of longitudinal cracks that initiate on the pavement surface and propagate downwards. In general, TDC is more critical in the case of thick pavements with open-graded friction

Road Crack Detection Using Deep Convolutional Neural Network and Adaptive Thresholding
Crack is one of the most common road distresses which may pose road safety hazards. Generally, crack detection is performed by either certified inspectors or structural engineers. This task is, however, time-consuming, subjective and labor-intensive.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Consequences of long-term infrastructure decisions—the case of self-healing roads and their CO2 emissions [PDF]
What could be the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions if the conventional way of maintaining roads is changed? Emissions of greenhouse gases must be reduced if global warming is to be avoided, and urgent political and technological decisions should be ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Intelligent identification of pavement cracks based on PSA-Net
The identification of pavement cracks is critical for ensuring road safety. Currently, manual crack detection is quite time-consuming. To address this issue, automated pavement crack-detecting technology is required.
