All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Applying Utility Theory to Cost Allocation of Pavement Maintenance and Repair [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
[[abstract]]Lacking a systematic and effective pavement maintenance strategy, Kaohsiung, the largest industrial city and second most populated metropolitan in Taiwan, struggles to manage its ever-growing urban road network. To help deliver a satisfactory

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Pavement Deterioration Prediction Model and Project Selection for Kentucky Highways [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Pavement deterioration is an important factor in evaluating and prioritizing pavement management and preservation (PMP) projects. The primary goal of this paper is to provide quality predictive functions from multiple linear regression (MLR) models that ...

Liquid Phase Transmission Electron Microscopy: A Window into the Early Stages of Complex Material Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,

Numerical data for modelling pavement deflection behaviour under the TSDLicense : etalab 2.0

open access: yesData in Brief
This dataset provides a numerical simulation of pavement mechanical behavior under Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) measurements. It consists of simulated deflection slope data for various pavement structures and subgrade properties, generated using the

Mechanical Behavior and Fracture Mechanisms of MXene/PVDF Nanocomponsites: In Situ Characterization and Multiscale Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale experiments and modeling reveal how Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets reinforce PVDF nanocomposites. An optimal MXene loading (∼1 wt.%) nearly doubles tensile strength through efficient stress transfer, flake alignment, and crack‐deflection mechanisms, transforming ductile polymer behavior into a controlled multi‐stage fracture pathway which aligns ...

Managing Missing Pavement Performance Data in Pavement Management System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Missing data in pavement condition and performance records of pavement management systems (PMS) are ubiquitous in practice. Imputation of missing data is often required in the analysis of pavement performance and decision making for pavement management ...
