Roughness-induced pavement-vehicle interaction
The greenhouse gas (GHG) emission due to the road transportation has increased significantly since 1990. The total emissions from road transportation originates from the following phases: material production, construction, maintenance, use and demolition phases of the pavement.

Thin‐Film Transistor Based Active Taxel for Multimode Tactile Perception and Fused Processing
Skin serves as the largest‐area organ for human and embodied intelligent robots, providing tactile interaction. An active multimode fused (AMF) artificial skin is developed using standard TFT processes, featuring 2T‐1C taxels with optical and electrostatic capacitive receptors for cross‐modal sensing.

Roughness modeling in the pavement layers interfaces
The interfaces between the bituminous pavement layers represent a very important parameter for the computational and design of these structures. However, the bonding quality depends on binder properties, adhesion state and surface cleanliness [1]. Some research [2] [3] shows the influence of the surface roughness between the different layers on the ...

Optical Windows for Transcranial Brain Imaging in Living Mice: Skull Thinning, Clearing, and Beyond
Longitudinal, noninvasive in vivo imaging is crucial for studying brain physiology. Advances in transcranial optical windows and multiphoton microscopy have improved imaging depth, but their performance often deteriorates over time. This work investigated various transcranial window approaches and found that skull regrowth limits image quality.
