Status and future of seed conservation of threatened plants in the post‐2020 era

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Ambitious targets have been set to backup seeds of threatened plants by the global strategy for plant conservation (GSPC), but it is unclear in how far these targets have been met and how seed collection should be organized to meet future challenges. Here, we provide an overview of the status of 44 countries in achieving seed conservation targets.

Inter‐Annual Variation in Alpha and Beta Diversity of Benthic Macroinvertebrate Communities in Agricultural Ditches

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.

However, data on the biodiversity associated with agricultural ditches, and its variation over time, are underrepresented in ecological research.

Thermo‐Chemically Modified Silk Scaffolds Reveal Niche‐Driven Regulation of Hematopoiesis and Fibrosis

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
We introduce a versatile 3D platform that recreates key physical and biological features of the human bone marrow. By integrating tunable silk biomaterials, stromal cells, and human hematopoietic progenitors, the model captures both healthy and diseased microenvironments, analysis of blood formation, and its disruption in pathological conditions ...

Radiomics‐based ultrasOund Model for differentiating Uterine Sarcomas from leiomyomas (ROMUS): a retrospective pilot Multicenter Italian Trials in Ovarian Cancer (MITO) study

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To develop machine‐learning models that incorporate clinical information and radiomics features extracted from ultrasound images to distinguish uterine sarcomas from leiomyomas. Methods This retrospective, multicenter, pilot case–control study included 200 patients (100 with a uterine sarcoma and 100 with a usual‐type leiomyoma, i.e.

Trauma Systems in Conflict Zones: A Qualitative Study of Field Operational Requirements in Humanitarian Care

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
Trauma care is a central component of humanitarian medical response in conflict zones. However, essential operational knowledge—referral pathways, triage practices, logistical coordination, and team leadership—remains largely undocumented and inconsistently applied.
