Computing maximum tracking error due to payload dynamics

open access: closedProceedings., IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
The determination of maximum endpoint tracking error due to uncompensated inertial payload dynamics is investigated. The problem is formulated on the basis of well-known kinetic and kinematic relationships with constraints on maximum joint positions and velocities as well as the generalized force/speed constraint relationship for each actuator.

Payload fragmentation framework for high-performance computing in cloud environment

open access: closedThe Journal of Supercomputing, 2018
Cloud computing environment delivers resources such as CPU cycles, storage, network service and memory through a web-based model. Users run their applications on remote infrastructure and get benefited more at a lesser cost. Compiling large-scale applications such as compiling GCC and compiling Clang in C and C++ environments where applications involve

High performance, reliable and flexible computing payload for space missions

open access: closed2004 IEEE Region 10 Conference TENCON 2004., 2004
In this paper, we discuss the design concepts of a high performance, reliable and flexible computing payload suitable for space missions. This payload is used as a secondary payload onboard X-Sat, a microsatellite currently being developed by Nanyang Technological University and is scheduled for launch in 2006.

Experimental Validation of Origami’s Reservoir Computing Power and an Mechano-Intelligent Task of Payload Identification

open access: closedVolume 7: 46th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference (MR), 2022
Abstract Animals’ excellent capability to achieve complex locomotion and manipulation behaviors benefits from their unique body morphology, distributed sensory system, and direct connection with the environment, creating intelligence embodied directly in their bodies. This presents a significantly more flexible control strategy than most

Fabrication of hydrogel particles with tantalum oxide nanoparticle payloads as computed tomography contrast agents

open access: closed2013 Transducers & Eurosensors XXVII: The 17th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (TRANSDUCERS & EUROSENSORS XXVII), 2013
This paper reports the fabrication of hydrogel microparticles using a combined imprinting and photolithography (CIP) methods, with tantalum oxide (TaOx) nanoparticle payloads as X-ray attenuating media for size and shape specific computed tomography (CT) contrast agents. TaOx nanoparticles were successfully synthesized and characterized with superior X-
