Advanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.Silk‐fibroin is applied as an immobilization matrix for a biocompatible and bioresorbable amperometric glucose biosensor. The immobilization matrix is optimized with regard to silk‐fibroin content, enzyme loading, and water solubility. The optimized silk‐fibroin matrix is compared to a BSA/glutaraldehyde‐based matrix.
