Multiple entry point PBFT for IoT systems
GLOBECOM 2020 - 2020 IEEE Global Communications Conference, 2020Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) consensus algorithm is unsuitable for Internet of things (IoT) applications due to the need for a single view leader. In this work we propose to augment PBFT with a contention-based bandwidth reservation phase that allows any ordering node to initiate a new consensus round.

An Improved PBFT Consensus Algorithm for Blockchain Systems
Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Electronic Information Technology and Computer EngineeringConsensus algorithms are a critical component of blockchain systems. The practical Byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) consensus algorithm, as a classic blockchain consensus mechanism, is widely applied in the consensus process of blockchain networks ...

Scalable Network-Coded PBFT Consensus Algorithm
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2019We suggest a general framework for network-coded Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerant (PBFT) consensus for enabling agreement among distributed nodes under Byzantine attacks. The suggested protocol generalizes existing replication and sharding schemes which are frequently used for consensus in current blockchain systems.
