Sol-gel processing and physic-chemical characterization of La and Ce doped lead titanate ceramics
PbTiO3 (PT) sol gel processed powders doped with lanthanum (PLT14) and cerium (PLCexT14, x = 1; 3; 6; 10) were characterized by XRD and Raman spectroscopy. The samples crystallize in a pure perovskite phase at temperatures smaller than those reported for

Engineering polar vortex from topologically trivial domain architecture
The majority of polar structures emerging naturally in ferroelectrics are topologically trivial. Here, the authors demonstrate reconstruction of topologically trivial strip-like domain architecture into arrays of polar vortex in (PbTiO3)10/(SrTiO3)10 ...

Realizing negative thermal expansion over an extended temperature range in PbTiO3-based perovskites
Negative thermal expansion (NTE) is fascinating, as it involves a material’s volume contraction rather than expansion upon heating. Although NTE lattices typically have highly flexible frameworks, the magnitude of NTE is often very small, and they ...

We discovered novel materials with giant dielectric constants by combining first‐principles phonon calculations and machine learning. Screening 525 perovskites identified six candidates. RbNbO3 was synthesized under pressure and showed ε ≈ 800–1000. This validates our framework as a powerful tool for high‐performance dielectric materials discovery.

Effect of in-plane strain anisotropy on (011) epitaxial BaTiO3 and PbTiO3 thin films
Misfit strain phase diagrams of single-domain (011) epitaxial BaTiO3 and PbTiO3 thin films are computed using a thermodynamic phenomenological approach. In the case of (001) epitaxial films, the two orthogonal in-plane misfit strains are equivalent. For (
