Method of Segmented Turns Arrangement of PCB Rogowski Coil With Anti-Interference Ability

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2021
The printed circuit board Rogowski coil (PCB RC) has been widely applied in the complex electromagnetic environment, such as power electronic devices, where it is placed outside but very close to current-carrying conductors; thus, this brings great challenges to the anti-interference ability of it.

A Design Method of PCB Rogowski Coil in Limited Space and Modified Integral Circuit

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2020
Compared with the traditional current transformer with magnetic core, Rogowski coil has more advantages, such as non-saturation, high measurement accuracy, wide measurement range, simple fabrication technique and low cost. In recent years, Rogowski coil become an extremely popular method of measuring current in power grid.

High Bandwidth Integrator for Differential,PCB Integrated Rogowski Coils

2023 International Conference on Electrical Drives and Power Electronics (EDPE), 2023
This paper provides an accurate and high-bandwidth current measurement method, using a differential, PCB integrated Rogowski coil. This measurement is ideal for switching characterization of wide-bandgap semiconductors, which are progressively improving switching speeds of power electronic circuits and require a PCB design with low parasitic inductance.

The reliable design of PCB Rogowski Coil current transformer

2006 International Conference on Power System Technology, 2006
PCB Rogowski coil has a particular structure that interconnects the conductive imprints on the upper and lower sides of the each printed circuit board by plated through holes and connects printed circuit boards in series by soldering points. Once a plated through hole or a soldering point falls, PCB Rogowski coil opens and outputs incorrect signal ...

PCB Rogowski coils for high di/dt current measurement

2000 IEEE 31st Annual Power Electronics Specialists Conference. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37018), 2002
In order to measure di/dt in the range of 10 to 20 kA//spl mu/s, air cored coils can be used. The coil's natural frequency limits the bandwidth of this probe. PCB coils have a natural frequency of 10 MHz or more. Theoretical analysis and measurements with di/dt of 5 kA//spl mu/s and 500 A are presented, employing the PCB coil in a HOKA current probe.
