Commodity price movements and PCE inflation [PDF]
With the recent run-up in crop and energy prices - and the subsequent sharp reversal of these trends - the effects of commodity price movements on U.S. inflation merit renewed attention.

Three‐terminal (3T) perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells overcome the current‐matching constraints of 2T designs. Using an IBC POLO silicon bottom cell, we demonstrate a 30.1% PCE, with performance largely decoupled from perovskite bandgap and enhanced resilience under realistic, time‐dependent solar spectra.

High-Potency Prenatal Cannabis Exposure and Birth Outcome Measures
Background/Objectives: Pregnant women have limited information on the impact of prenatal cannabis exposure (PCE) alone. Our aim was to determine if PCE, without alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug use, is associated with altered birth outcome measures in ...

A cation‐anion synergistic strategy is developed to enhance self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) adsorption using guanidinium thiocyanate (GuaSCN). Guanidinium (Gua⁺) suppresses micelle aggregation, while thiocyanate (SCN−) promotes phosphonic acid deprotonation and strengthens ionic bonding to the substrate.

We developed a custom‐synthesized ligand, 2‐thiophenepropenammonium iodide, to exchange the native ligands capped on inorganic perovskite nanocrystals (NCs), and identified that the significantly decreased strength of electron‐phonon interaction benefited the charge‐carrier dynamics in their assembled films.

High‐bromide wide‐bandgap perovskites suffer from defects and phase segregation, limiting tandem performance. We report a bulk–surface coupling effect to heal lattice/surface defects and suppress halide migration. As a result, the wide‐bandgap device achieves 23.71% efficiency, while monolithic Si‐based tandems reach 32.26%, exhibiting exceptional long‐

Emerging Device Applications From Strong Light–Matter Interactions in 2D Materials
Two‐dimensional semiconductors enable extremely compact optoelectronic devices such as solar cells, sensors, LEDs, and lasers. Their strong light–matter interactions allow efficient light emission, detection, and energy conversion. This review article discusses the recent progress in integrating these materials with optical cavities and nanostructures ...

This work presents a co‐assembled monolayer, Cys‐S‐2PACz, constructed via sequential deposition. The size‐complementary pairing and competitive anchoring between Cys and S‐2PACz enable dense and highly ordered molecular packing. Meanwhile, the synergistic passivation from the methylthio and thiol groups effectively suppresses interfacial recombination,

Dilution Effect for High‐Performance Multiple‐Component Near‐Infrared Organic Photodetectors
The dilution effect in multi‐component organic photodetector effectively suppresses non‐radiative decay and minimizes dark current, while energy‐level‐offset‐governed electron transfer between acceptors maintains efficient charge transport. This synergistic mechanism collectively enables remarkable device performance, including high detectivity and ...
