PCR-SSCP analysis of cancer related genes.
Single-strand DNA conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis has been used to detect alterations in relatively short DNA fragments such as genetic polymorphisms, mutations, deletions, and so on. Here we introduce other applications of SSCP analysis, using its capacity of separating alleles.

Multiple fluorescence-based PCR-SSCP analysis with postlabeling. [PDF]
Multiple fluorescence-based PCR single-strand conformation polymorphism (MF-PCR-SSCP) with postlabeling was developed. The target sequence was amplified by PCR using unlabeled primers. Free dNTPs were removed from the amplified products by ethanol precipitation.

Identifizierung von Haplotypen bei Pityogenes chalcographus (Col., Scolytidae) durch SSCP [PDF]
Pityogenes chalcographus is a widely distributed spruce pest in Eurasia (KNIZEK et al. 2005). In 70ies, E. Führer studied the intraspecific variation of this spruce bark beetle and detected race differentiation among European populations based on ...

Role of Millets for Food Security Under Climate Change
ABSTRACT The accelerating impacts of climate change pose significant threats to global food security, highlighting critical vulnerabilities within the agricultural system. As greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise, global temperatures have increased by 0.6°C over the 20th century, with projections indicating further increases of 0.1°C–2°C per decade.

Analysis of mitochondrial control region DNA variation in New Zealand's brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Ecology at Massey University [PDF]
Brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula) were first introduced from Australia to New Zealand in 1858 to establish a fur industry. Currently numbering more than 65 million, they are recognised as the most important mammalian pest in New Zealand, because ...
