PD1 inhibits PKCθ-dependent phosphorylation of cytoskeleton-related proteins and immune synapse formation.

open access: yes

Biochemical identification and characterization of PD1 signaling components

open access: yes
In the tumor microenvironment many strategies are at work to dampen T cell activation, allowing tumor immune escape. Among these, there is the stimulation of the co-inhibitory receptor PD1 on T cells by its ligand, PDL1, which is expressed on tumor cells.
