Insecticide resistance status of malaria vectors in Lao PDR

Knowledge on insecticide resistance in Anopheles species is a basic requirement to guide malaria vector control programs. In Lao PDR, vector control relies on insecticide residual spraying (IRS) and impregnated bed-nets (ITNs) with the use of pyrethroids.

ABSTRACT This study used grounded theory to explore the protective factors for foster care placement disruptions. Twenty‐two interviews were conducted with foster parents, caseworkers and therapists involved with 14 older children or sibling sets who had undergone placement disruptions and were at high risk of experiencing future disruptions.

Stage‐Associated Microglial Subpopulations and Dynamics in Vascular Pathogenesis of Oxygen‐Induced Retinopathy

In the oxygen‐induced retinopathy (OIR) mouse model, two distinct microglial subpopulations play opposing roles: highly glycolytic microglia (HGM) promote neovascular formation via Pkm2, while Mrc1/CD206‐positive phagocytosis‐associated microglia (PAM) facilitate its regression.
