Coating Effect of Trimedlure and Methyl Eugenol by Some Polymers on Male Attraction of the Mediterranean Fruit Fly and Peach Fruit Fly Under Field Conditions [PDF]
The Egyptian fruits are attacked by two tepheritid pests; the peach fruit fly, Bactrocera zonata (Saunders), and the Mediterranean fruit fly, Ceratitis capitata (Wiedmann) causing considerable damage. The ultimate goal of this study is to investigate the response of Mediterranean and peach fruit flies males to trimedlure (TML) and methyl eugenol (ME ...

Sensitization profiles to purified plant food allergens among pediatric patients with allergy to banana. [PDF]
Banana fruit allergy is well known, but neither immunoglobulin E recognition patterns to purified plant food allergens nor true prevalences of putative banana allergens have been established. This study aimed to characterize β-1,3-glucanase and thaumatin-

Take flight: predation risk induces wing polyphenism and dispersal in the aphid Myzus persicae
Predator risk above a critical density induces winged morphs in Myzus persicae, promoting dispersal and reducing predation compared with wingless aphids. This density‐dependent phenotypic plasticity enhances survival but may compromise biological control by facilitating aphid dispersal.
