Ambient temperature significantly increased Mediterranean fruit fly recapture rates, demonstrating a strong effect of immediate environmental conditions on field dispersal. Female recaptures were 2.6‐fold higher in orchards containing host plants, whereas male recaptures were unaffected by host presence.
