Peak-to-average power ratio analysis in multicode CDMA [PDF]
This paper analyzes the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem in multicode-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems. The statistical distribution of PAPR is derived and the achievable PAPR reduction for a given code rate is estimated. We show that the PAPR in MC-CDMA communications systems can be reduced by partial transmit sequence (PTS ...

High-power operation of a K-band second harmonic gyroklystron [PDF]
Amplification studies of a two-cavity second-harmonic gyroklystron are reported. A magnetron injection gun produces a 440 kV, 200–245 A, 1 μs beam with an average perpendicular-to-parallel velocity ratio slightly less than 1.

When dealing with the phenomenon of unexpected high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) caused by multicarrer techniques, it is rarely to find a proposed solution that addresses the most important challenges together, that are; reducing the PAPR ...

On the peak-to-average power ratio of M-sequences
Let \(\mathbb F_q\), \(q=2^m\), be a finite field with a primitive element \(\alpha\). For \(\beta\in \mathbb F_q^*\), the \(M\)-sequence is: \[ a_k(\beta )=(-1)^{\text{tr}(\beta\alpha^k)},\qquad 0\leq k < q-1, \] where \(\text{tr}\) is the trace form \(\mathbb F_q\) to \(\mathbb F_2\).

Peak-to-average power ratio reduction based on cross-correlation in OFDM systems [PDF]
Two of the most important techniques of Peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems are Partial Transmit Sequence PAPR (PTS-PAPR) and Cross-Correlation-PTS.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Linearization Study of a Highly Efficient CMOS-GaN RF Pulse Width Modulation Based Transmitter [PDF]
This paper studies linearity of a 2 GHz, 10 Watt peak output power RF pulse width modulation (RF-PWM) based transmitter. The transmitter incorporates a tunable load network class-E PA as the final output stage.

Analysis of GFDM as a robust 5G communication technique in noisy environment [PDF]
One of the challenges of modulation techniques used in Fifth-Generation (5G) is their robustness in noisy environment. Conventional Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cannot be considered as a 5G waveform in its original form because of ...

Peak-to-average power ratio reduction for OFDM modems [PDF]
A novel technique of reducing the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of multi-carrier (MC) modulated signals is proposed. The method advocated is spectrally efficient, has a low implementational complexity and hence it is also suitable for low-power, portable implementation.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
