Reducing the Peak to Average Power Ratio of UFMC Waveform for Beyond 5G System Using Hybrid SLM+PTS+RNN Algorithms

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This article proposes a hybrid SLM+PTS+RNN algorithm to mitigate the high PAPR challenge in UFMC systems for B5G networks. The method significantly improves power efficiency (by 30%–40%) while maintaining BER and PSD performance, outperforming traditional PAPR reduction techniques.

Binary Search‐Based Division (BSBD): A Technique for Efficient Division in Hardware

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The division techniques play a key role in several computer‐implemented algorithms and applications; regrettably, they impose significant implementation constraints that hinder parallelization. The proposed binary search‐based division (BSBD) technique is inherited from the variable latency dividers, which have the potential to adjust the quotient bit ...

A PAPR correction scheme for LoRa self‐jamming waveforms

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 18, Issue 19, Page 1588-1603, December 2024.
A self‐jamming scheme of LoRa waveforms enabling secure transmissions is recently proposed in literature, which performs well in simulations. However, experiments on SDR equipment immediately showed that a transmission is impossible due to PAPR introduced by the waveform modification.
