Peak Detection Algorithm of Raman Spectra Based on Multi-Scale Local Signal-to-Noise Ratio

Acta Optica Sinica, 2014
Raman spectral peak recognition is one of the key technologies in qualitative analysis of Raman spectra. Due to the defects of low degree of automation and low recognition accuracy of the existing Raman spectral recognition methods, a new Raman peak recognition algorithm based on multi-scale local signal-to-noise ratio (MLSNR) is proposed.

Enhancement of Raman Spectra Obtained at Low Signal-To-Noise Ratios: Matched Filtering and Adaptive Peak Detection

Applied Spectroscopy, 1985
Two methods of Raman spectral peak enhancement are described. The matched-filter approach employs an optimal filter to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio at its output. The impulse response of the matched filter is the reversed version of the profile of the spectral peak to be enhanced; therefore, the effectiveness of the matched filter depends on a ...

Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio Formulas for Multistage Delta Modulation With RC-Shaped Gaussian Input Signals

Bell System Technical Journal, 1982
A multistage delta modulation (MSDM) encoder contains a number of delta modulation (DM) stages, where each delta modulator encodes the band-limited error of the previous delta modulator. The DM binary outputs are then multiplexed for transmission.

No-reference peak signal to noise ratio estimation based on generalized Gaussian modeling of transform coefficient distributions

Optical Engineering, 2012
We present a no-reference peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) estimation algorithm based on discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficient distributions from H.264/MPEG-4 part 10 advanced video codec (H.264/AVC) bitstreams. To estimate the PSNR of a compressed picture without the original picture on the decoder side, it is important to model the ...

Relation between Entropy and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio in Prediction Error Expansion Considering Region of Interest

2019 IEEE 5th International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT), 2019
Infusion of maximum information with minimum distortion in the message to be transmitted is one of the major intent of a communication system as well as digital watermarking. This paper presents a relation between Entropy (Information Theory) of the message to be inserted (payload) and the Peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) for reversibly watermarked ...
