Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Infrared–Visible Image Fusion via Cross-Modal Guided Dual-Branch Networks

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In the field of low-altitude aerial drone data fusion, the fusion of infrared and visible light images remains challenging due to issues such as large modal differences, insufficient cross-modal alignment, and limited global context modeling. Traditional

Application of energy difference spectrum of singular value in signal noise reductio

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
In view of problem that the order of effective rank of matrix reconstruction is difficult to determine in singular value decomposition for noise reduction, a novel signal noise reduction method based on energy difference spectrum of singular value was ...

Performance of peak signal‐to‐noise ratio quality assessment in video streaming with packet losses

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2016
The effect of packet losses over error‐prone networks on visual quality of distributed video contents, estimated through subjective opinion and PSNR as an objective measure is analysed. It is shown that, within a fixed content, the variation of PSNR is a reliable indicator of the variation of packet loss rates.

Noisy weak-lensing convergence peak statistics near clusters of galaxies and beyond

open access: yes, 2010
Taking into account noise from intrinsic ellipticities of source galaxies, in this paper, we study the peak statistics in weak-lensing convergence maps around clusters of galaxies and beyond.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Novel Implementation of Audio Encryption Using Pseudorandom Byte Generator

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
In this paper, we present an algorithm for encrypting audio files based on the Ikeda map, a mathematical function of chaos theory. Detailed experimental, security and theoretical analysis is provided on the proposed algorithm using histogram analysis ...

Fuzzy Logic and Singular Value Decomposition based Through Wall Image Enhancement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Singular value decomposition based through wall image enhancement is proposed which is capable of discriminating target, noise and clutter signals. The overlapping boundaries of clutter, noise and target signals are separated using fuzzy logic.

Capacity Results on Multiple-Input Single-Output Wireless Optical Channels

open access: yes, 2017
This paper derives upper and lower bounds on the capacity of the multiple-input single-output free-space optical intensity channel with signal-independent additive Gaussian noise subject to both an average-intensity and a peak-intensity constraint.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
