Visual saliency from image features with application to compression

open access: yes, 2012
Image feature point algorithms and their associated regional de-scriptors can be viewed as primitive detectors of visually-salient information. In this paper, a new method for constructing a visual attention probabilitymap using features is proposed ...

SPECKLE NOISE FILTERING FOR ULTRASOUND IMAGES OF COMMON CAROTID ARTERY: A REVIEW [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2014
Speckle is modeled as a signal dependent noise, which tends to reduce the image resolution and contrast, thereby reducing the diagnostic values of the ultrasound imaging modality.

Measuring Fidelity of Steganography Approach in Securing Clinical Data Sharing Platform using Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM)

open access: yesInformatica
In the vast digital landscape, the practice of data hiding finds multifaceted applications, ranging from simple hobbyist endeavors to critical tasks like safeguarding user privacy and ensuring covert data transmission. One of the gaping vulnerabilities in many contemporary systems is the transparency with which information is stored, making it easily ...

Using a trace-based simulation tool to test the efficiency of error codes applied to wireless multimedia streaming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This article presents an original method to validate the efficiency of the short length maximum separable distance forward error codes when using broadcasting mode in 802.11b/g multimedia streaming. Our method is based on real traces on which the forward

Ultra‐Wide‐Field Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via Physics‐Guided Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a physics‐guided adaptive dual‐domain learning method for ultra‐wide‐field noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNI‐Net. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultra‐large field of view, which is 164 times the OME

Penapisan Derau Gaussian, Speckle dan Salt&Pepper Pada Citra Warna

open access: yesIJCCS (Indonesian Journal of Computing and Cybernetics Systems), 2011
Quality of digital image can decrease becouse some noises. Noise can come from lower quality of image recorder, disturb when transmission data process and weather. Noise filtering can make image better becouse will filtering that noise from the image and

Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging: Establishing a Linear‐Array‐Inspired Paradigm for N‐fold Acceleration Single‐Pixel Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To overcome two‐dimensional modulation bottlenecks, Hadamard Matrix Slicing Single‐Pixel Imaging (HMS‐SPI) establishes an efficient one‐dimensional imaging paradigm. By slicing the traditional Hadamard matrix into one‐dimensional encoding vectors and spatially expanding them, the required measurement patterns decrease by a factor of N.

A Foundation Model Based CT Biomarker for Non‐Invasive Prediction of Response to Neoadjuvant Immunochemotherapy in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a foundation model‐based biomarker for risk stratification of pathological response in non‐small cell lung cancer. A Vision Mamba super‐resolution model standardizes heterogeneous CT images. A multi‐task Swin Transformer then fine‐tunes a pre‐trained lung foundation model to jointly optimize tumor segmentation and response ...
