Constant Modulus Algorithm for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction in MIMO OFDM/A

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2013
A new peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction approach for MIMO-OFDM/A is developed based on the well-known constant modulus algorithm (CMA). This combines two ideas: 1) time domain signals from “resource blocks” (consisting of several subcarriers) may be linearly combined using precoding weights, transparent to the receiver; 2) the precoding ...

Partially clipping (PC) method for the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in OFDM

2004 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8754), 2005
OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) has emerged as one of the best modulations for broadband mobile communications. Despite its robustness against multipath interference, the drawback of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) has to be overcome.

Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction by Pulse Shaping Using the K-Exponential Filter

IEICE Transactions on Communications, 2010
A K-exponential filter is derived and utilized for pulse shaping to reduce peak to average power ratio (PAPR) without intersymbol interference (ISI). While keeping the same bandwidth, the frequency responses of the filters vary with different values of the parameter k.

Comparative analysis of peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction techniques for OFDM system

2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT), 2013
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a spectrally efficient multicarrier modulation technique for high-speed data transmission over multipath fading channels. However, it has some limitations such as the Peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which restricts its use. It reduces the efficiency of the system.

Performance Analysis of Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction Techniques in an OFDM System

2012 Third International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology, 2012
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been currently under intense research for wireless transmission due to its robustness against multipath fading. However, it has some limitations such as the Peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which restricts its use. It reduces the efficiency of the system.

Coding Schemes Applied to Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) Reduction in OFDM Systems

2008 International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference, 2008
High PAPR of the transmitted signal is a major drawback in the OFDM systems. In this paper, coding schemes are proposed to reduce high PAPR One is using parity check coding scheme, and the other is using selected mapping (SLM) applied scheme. With parity check coding scheme, the parity information is used to expand the signal space.

Peak-to-Average-Power-Ratio (PAPR) Reduction Methods with Wavelet Transform in MIMO-OFDM

IETE Journal of Research, 2017
ABSTRACTThis study is based on the comparison of the results with an analysis method recommended for the Peak-to-Average-Power-Ratio (PAPR) reduction methods. This is one of the most significant problems in the Multiple Input–Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems.

Peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), fractional bandwidth and processing gain of UWB schemes

Eighth IEEE International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications - Programme and Book of Abstracts (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8738), 2005
This paper addresses the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), fractional bandwidth and processing gain of ultra-wideband (UWB) signals. First, the PAPR of UWB signals are derived and the numerical examples demonstrating PAPR values with Gaussian monocycle pulse shaping are presented.

Peak to average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in OFDM systems

International Multi Topic Conference, 2002. Abstracts. INMIC 2002., 2002
Summary form only given, as follows. One of the main limitations of OFDM systems is that it exhibits high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). It is desirable to reduce it as high PAPR causes saturation in power amplifiers thus leading to inter-modulation products among the sub carriers.

Comparative Study of Channel Codes for OFDM System and Judgement for Batter Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR)

2013 International Conference on IT Convergence and Security (ICITCS), 2013
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system is used for the reducing almost every kind of interference in any communication system. For designing OFDM system need to use FFT and IDFT phenomena of signal processing, in this work mainly concern to improve peak to average power ratio for this system because this system is multicarrier system,
