Relationship between food quality and body size of common vole in different habitats
The body size of the common vole in crop fields (alfalfa, rape, cereals) is larger than in less‐cultivated habitats (forests, clearings, set‐aside) and is not related to food quality. Abstract BACKGROUND There is a close relationship between habitat, food and demographic parameters of common vole populations.

Influence of soil surface manipulation on soil temperature in relation to peanut production [PDF]
Soil temperature is recognised as one of the most important factors in crop production. Some degree of manual control of soil temperature is possible through regulation of soil surface cover.

Spring–Summer spatial dynamics of Palomena prasina (L.) and potential IPM strategies. ABSTRACT Palomena prasina (L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), the green shield bug (GSB), is an important hazelnut pest in Southern Europe. Currently, its control focuses on insecticide spraying during the crop season. We hypothesized that, as for other pentatomid species,

CO 2 Fluxes and Soil Responses to Straw and Herbicide in Peanut
ABSTRACT Peanut cultivation plays an important agronomic role in Brazil, especially in rotation with sugarcane, promoting biological nitrogen fixation and improving soil quality. This study aimed to test the hypothesis that the combined use of sugarcane mulch, peanut cultivation, and herbicide application would affect soil CO₂ fluxes, soil chemical ...

Evaluation of the Allelopathic Potential of Plant Extracts and its Comparison with Chemical Treatments on Galium aparine L. and Vicia villosa Roth. Weeds in Chickpea Fields [PDF]
IntroductionWeeds represent a major constraint in agricultural production by competing with crops for essential resources such as light, water, nutrients, and space. In chickpea (Cicer arietinum) cultivation, species like Galium aparine L. (cleavers) and
