EFFECT OF COAT COLOR MUTATIONS ON HAIR AND SKIN STRUCTURE IN POLECATS (MUSTELA PUTORIUS)

open access: yesВавиловский журнал генетики и селекции, 2015
Morphological parameters of hair and microstructure of the leather tissue in polecats of gold, pearl, and pastel colors are considered. The results were used in writing a manual on the assessment of breeding achievements in farm-bred polecats and in the ...

A Multi‐instrument Recognition and Autonomous Tracking Control Method for Robot‐Assisted Endoscopic Adjustment

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
During lengthy minimally invasive surgeries, fatigue can cause surgeon tremor and poor endoscopic coordination. This study proposes a robot‐assisted endoscopic adjustment system. It employs a lightweight instrument detection model and a hierarchical multiconstraint controller for visual servoing.

Transcriptomic analysis reveals the differentially expressed genes and pathways involved in drought tolerance in pearl millet [Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Pearl millet is a cereal crop known for its high tolerance to drought, heat and salinity stresses as well as for its nutritional quality. The molecular mechanism of drought tolerance in pearl millet is unknown.

Revisiting Incomplete Tissue‐Level Reperfusion Following Successful Thrombectomy for Acute Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Among patients with acute ischemic stroke achieving successful large vessel recanalization (defined as expanded Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction [eTICI ≥2b]), incomplete tissue‐level reperfusion, distinct from visually identifiable distal occlusion on digital‐subtraction angiography, remains a significant challenge.

Individualized Atrophy‐Based Prediction of Dementia Progression in Familial Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration With Bayesian Linear Mixed‐Effects Modeling

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Age of symptom onset is highly variable in familial frontotemporal lobar degeneration (f‐FTLD). Accurate prediction of onset would inform clinical management and trial enrollment. Prior studies indicate that individualized maps of brain atrophy can predict conversion to dementia in f‐FTLD.

Joint Effects of Extrinsic Biophysical Fluxes and Intrinsic Hydrodynamics on the Formation of Hypoxia West off the Pearl River Estuary

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, 2018
Using fieldmeasurements and a process-oriented three-dimensional coupled physical-biogeochemical numerical model, we investigated the physical and biogeochemical processes governing the bottom hypoxic zone west off the Pearl River estuary.
