Topology‐Enabled Finite‐Band Absorption Framework Based on a Bioinspired Nested Dual‐Loop Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nuclear‐pore‐inspired nested dual‐loop architecture redistributes electromagnetic energy through coupled transport, confinement, and dissipation pathways. Integrated with Co/Fe3O4 dual‐magnetic composites and topology optimization, the 11‐mm‐thick absorber delivers continuous 2–40 GHz attenuation, raises finite‐band structural utilization to 82%, and

Influences of a new templating agent on the synthesis of coral-like TiO2 nanoparticles and their photocatalytic activity

open access: yesJournal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices, 2017
We report a low cost and environmentally-friendly solvent system to synthesize TiO2 nanoparticles using an acidic deep eutectic solvent, choline chloride/p-toluene sulphonic acid as a templating and hydrolyzing agent via sol–gel method.

Fables de La Fontaine

open access: yes, 1983
A beautiful oversize book with good monochrome and eight excellent full-page polychrome illustrations. The best of the monochrome illustrations are The Coach and the Fly (70) and The Deer and the Vine (109).

Architecting Phase‐Selective Interlayers for Stable SiOx Lithium Storage via Dual‐Function Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Silicon anodes offer high capacity but suffer severe volume expansion. Silicon monoxide (SiO) buffers expansion, yet uncontrolled lithiation irreversibly consumes lithium as Li2O and oxygen‐rich silicates. Here, we design a layered SiOx featuring a phase‐selective conductive interfacial interlayer (PSCII), i.e., a Li4SiO4‐rich, ion‐accessible ...

Heteroatom‐Mediated Covalent Organic Framework Membranes With Nitrogen‐Enriched Nanochannels for Efficient Desalination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Heteroatom precursor engineering serves as a molecular‐level strategy to tailor hydrazide monomer reactivity and diffusion kinetics, enabling controlled assembly of highly crystalline COF membranes with ultramicroporous channels. The nitrogen‐enriched nanochannels deliver high water/ion selectivity via simultaneous water transport acceleration and ion ...

Fables de La Fontaine

open access: yes, 1952
Here is a better copy, with dust-jacket, of the 1952 original of Pec's work that I first came to know through the reproduction of 1983. As I mentioned of the first copy, without a dust-jacket, it features good monochrome and eight excellent full-page ...

NbN Broadband Plasmonic Absorbers for Efficient Hot‐Carrier Injection Toward Improved Solar‐to‐Hydrogen Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Niobium nitride (NbN) broadband plasmonic metasurface absorbers provide an efficient platform for solar‐energy conversion through hot‐carrier injection. Quasi‐epitaxial NbN features a low work function of 4.0 eV, reducing the interfacial injection barrier and facilitating charge transfer into adjacent photocatalysts.
